Hi there, I’m Allie! If there’s one thing to know about me, it’s that I am utterly obsessed with children. For as long as I can remember, I have always been the one to gravitate toward the baby in a room or sit at the kids table even as a grown adult, so naturally I felt inclined to pursue a career working with children.
After graduating from college, I flew across the world to Italy where I taught preschool at a bilingual school for 2 years. After falling in love with travel and immersing myself in another culture, I continued my life abroad by working as an au pair for a family of four children in Paris and Shanghai. This was when my interest in doula work first came about. My host mother gave birth to her fourth child while I was there, so I was able to get first-hand experience working with a newly postpartum mother and newborn baby. From then on I have felt a deep desire to help those going through the transformational journey of becoming a parent. Fast forward a few years of continuing to nanny and teach preschool, and I arrived at finally pursuing my passion of becoming a birth doula.
Outside of work, I enjoy golfing, traveling, going to a Red Rocks concert, or just getting outside to enjoy the fresh mountain air!
