Hi, My name is Misty! Plant-lover, wannabe island dweller, living my life in Lakewood, Colorado. I’m a wife to one, and mother to my now 3 adult boys. Life can slow down already! Outside of the birth room, you’ll most likely find me getting my hands dirty in the garden, having family movie nights, cuddling with my corgi, or trying out the next local foodie spot!
Coming from a large family of 8 kids (I am lucky number 7), I was introduced to the birthing process at a very early age. Seeing my first birth at the age of 10, that was all it took. I became enthralled with the process of pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, and taking care of little ones. I saw women as goddess-warriors, creating, growing, birthing, and nourishing their babies. I believe this experience is what led to my calling as a birth worker!
What I want every mother to know is that she deserves to be in control of her birth journey. Through education she will learn her choices as a birthing mother, become more confident in her abilities to birth, and feel empowered in the entire process. As a doula, childbirth educator, and lactation educator I strive to give my clients the comfort, guidance, and support she needs on her journey into motherhood!
